Cavalcade Information and Entry Form

The Thundersprint was one of the big success stories of this season with over 100,000 spectators attending.

For 2006, we will have a really big event!!!

The Thundersprint is a true biking party with everything from sprinting on a twisty track to a huge trade area and hours of non-biking entertainment. Although the event is just one day you really need a week in which to do it all. In fact, there will be something for everyone with an interest in bikes.

In 2005 , we had a fantastic cavalcade display - in 2006 we want to do even better.

The Thundersprint will take over most of Northwich Town Centre with the event filling many streets and roads for racing, displays, entertainments and traders. During Sunday lunchtime, there will be a giant cavalcade around the edge of Northwich. This will be about 5 miles in length and will provide an unmissable experience - to ride on closed roads in the company of race bikes running on their original, glorious silencing systems.

The cavalcade will be tightly restricted to pre-registered guests only. Members of the general public will not be allowed to take part. There will be display space, which will be in the area of the race paddock, only for those riders taking part in the cavalcade. Your participation in the cavalcade will contribute towards presenting the best possible face of motorcycling to the general public.

If you do not wish to take part in the cavalcade you are welcome to join us as a spectator and park your bike in the public car parks. All spectator viewing and parking is free of charge. Because space in the cavalcade is so tight, we will be accepting only the first 100 riders to apply.

We cannot accept late bookings for anything, so please contact us quickly to reserve your space. Space will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Camping will be available for a nominal sum near to the Thundersprint site but not actually on it.

Your bike must be presented for scrutineering between 06.00 and 07.30 on Sunday May 7. Vehicles cannot be admitted to the site after 08.00 on Sunday morning. Health & Safety insist that we enforce these conditions rigidly.

The cost for entry to the cavalcade is £15.00. Because the event is on closed public roads every rider has to be insured against public liability risks to ride in the cavalcade. This will be provided through the ACU insurance scheme as part of your £15.00 entry fee.

Also, cavalcade participants will receive the same souvenir pack as those who are racing. The souvenirs and insurance cost us over £20.00 per rider. Therefore, we need Cavalcaders to make a contribution of £15.00 towards this outlay. There is no charge for partners/children etc. but they will not get a souvenir pack. You may buy extra souvenirs at the track from vendors.
